Phnom Penh – AMK Microfinance Institution Plc. is recently awarded the Leader Milestone Certificate by Truelift and is the first microfinance institution in Cambodia to achieve this. With this AMK joins six other Financial Institutions globally as Truelift leaders in microfinance. The Truelift Certification signifies AMK’s commitment to bring about positive and enduring change for people living in conditions of poverty. AMK long-term social mission aims at helping a large number of poor people to improve their livelihood options through the delivery of appropriate and viable microfinance services.

Kea Borann, CEO of AMK, stated “AMK is proud to receive The Leader Milestone certificate from Truelift. The key achievement that made AMK deserve this award is in line with its social mission to help improve the livelihood of the poor, meeting Truelift’s criteria. AMK creates products and services with its priority being the clients’ benefits, especially those who live in rural areas where they can easily access our financial products. We provide our services in compliance with the Client Protection Principles (CPP). AMK has been certified for fully implementing CPP by the SMART CAMPAIGN in 2016”.

Over the past 15 years, AMK has been continuously developing and growing by delivering its diversified financial products and services, investing in new digital technologies to meet the needs of customers. At the same time, AMK still adheres to its social mission in helping society, especially in poverty reduction, as shown by the results of Truelift’s assessment conducted in November 2018 by M-CRIL. Through the delivery of appropriate and viable microfinance services over the past 15 years, AMK helps its clients and families make a positive change in their livelihoods.
