Throughout its history, AMK has remained committed to strong social performance, improving the livelihoods of low-income households across Cambodia.

AMK Bank Plc serves nearly one million customers nationwide through 143 branches and over 5,000 agents. It provides inclusive financial services including loans, deposits, money transfers, micro-insurance, bill payments, payroll services, and the AMK Mobile Banking App with KHQR scan-to-pay.

AMK has accelerated its digital transformation by upgrading its core banking system and launching digital solutions such as AMK Pay (Merchant QR), a Client Referral App, chatbot-based loan applications, and integrations with Bakong, CSS, FAST Payment, SWIFT, and other partners.

Key milestones include introducing insurance services, tablet-based loan origination, ATMs/CDMs, branchless banking, money transfers, and obtaining its MDI license in 2010. AMK achieved nationwide coverage in 2009, recorded its first profit in 2005, began independent operations in 2003, and received its license from the National Bank of Cambodia in 2004.

AMK originated from the micro-credit and savings program of Concern Worldwide in the early 1990s and was formally established in 2002 in line with Cambodia’s evolving microfinance regulations.
